The chance to travel South America is something I have always relished. The continent offers numerous benefits that you cannot find elsewhere. First, to travel South America is still relatively close to home, which makes it easier to get to and less expensive. Flying from the US to Asia would be much more time consuming and much more costly. Second, the expenses you will encounter when you travel South America are extremely low. If you travel South America you will find that in certain parts you can easily get by on $10 a day. For this price you will not be staying in luxurious hotels, but for those on a tight budget the accommodation you will find for this price is more than adequate.
What makes the possibility to travel South America the most appealing is by far the endless possibilities of sites, activities, and experiences you will encounter. If you are looking for the hustle and bustle of a big city, you will find great night life in various cities in Brazil. If you are looking for a relaxing beach, there are plenty of resorts on the northern Caribbean coast. If you are looking for something more adventurous, try trekking to Machu Pichu in Peru. Whatever you are looking for, you are bound to find it if you travel South America. As of yet, I have not seen nearly enough of this continent. However, as soon as I get enough time off, I am certainly planning to travel South America extensively.
